Somerset Award

The Somerset Award is for students aged below 25 years following a full time vocational course at a Further Education college or equivalent institution (NB Awards will not be approved for GCSE, AS or A level courses; Awards will not be approved in respect of courses being followed at schools).

This Award is only available to students who are resident in the London Borough of Haringey and who have attended one of the eleven secondary schools in the Borough.

Generally, the Somerset Award is a one-off grant but at the Trustees discretion, if a student can prove satisfactory attendance and progress during the previous year, a second or subsequent Award may be allowed.

Application forms are available from 1st May each year (for the academic year commencing the following September).

The closing date for applications for each academic year is 30th November.
