ANSWER: Usually, this is possible - but there are conditions that you need to have met. If you stated on your application form last year that you were on year one of a two year course (or year two of three year course, etc), then the Foundation's computer system will automatically send you a Continuation Letter during early July prior to the new academic year. If you do not receive this letter, call the Foundation or send an email with the details.

Why is the value of my Award lower than my friends’ who applied in a previous year?
ANSWER: From 2009-10 on wards, Somerset Undergraduate Awards are lower than previous years for TWO reasons: firstly, the Foundation’s Trustees have had no choice but make budget reductions due to the effect the global economic crisis is having on the Trust’s income. Secondly, the Somerset Undergraduate Award is now being paid annually up to a maximum of three years. The value of your Award over three years is equivalent to the adjusted value of the “one-off” larger sum previously paid.
